After a delicious meal of some breakfast burritos, the Vegas went off for a full day of excitement while the DMs prepped for a day full of adventure and learning. At 8 am, the DMs did some more skill circuits as the Vegas did their last confined water dive- they’re now ready for their very first open water dive tomorrow, very exciting! We then switched rotations, with the Vegas practicing man overboard drills as the DMs assisted with the divers onboard. Lunch today has been my favorite yet! Tuscan white bean soup with gourmet cheddar cheese plus our (invisible) sour cream. Rotations three and four consisted of navigation dives, assisting instructors and learning their teaching methods, and having a fan-freaking-tastic time sailing the Picos. My very favorite part of the day was when, during the dive out of nowhere, a beautifully striking stingray came up behind myself and the rest of the group, and we all just watched as it came back and forth so closely between us. The Vegas were definitely thrilled by this experience, as they have never seen one before! Another great part about today, and what I look forward to doing every day here at ActionQuest, is dining amongst the beautiful sunset of the BVI. Now I am here listening to my shipmates arranging their scuba gear for their very first night dive this session. Today was overall an amazing day, and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings us.
