Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
We had an early start this morning in Leverick Bay, where we filled up with fuel and water and made a quick supermarket stop. After that. We motored to Vixen Point, where we began to set up for rotation day. As the dive boat, it is our responsibility to organize scuba equipment for the younger students in the fleet. We got our first real taste of being a divemaster when we each led a buddy team of Vegas on a snorkel of the mangroves. It was cool being a guide; everyone enjoyed pointing out and identifying sea creatures for the younger students. We also completed two more skills, the dive brief, and equipment set up. The rest of the day was spent studying and reviewing the first eight chapters of the divemaster manual; we have the first part of the final exam tonight. We’re excited to finish the first part of the course and become one step closer to being official PADI Divemasters.
