Today was our first rotation day, therefore also our first day actually diving. My dreams of becoming a mermaid definitely came true today. We woke up this morning around 6 and had cereal and oats for breakfast, and by eight, we were all geared up and in the water. Diving for the first time was initially scary, but once you get used to it, it’s honestly the coolest thing ever. The whole time we were training, there was a moon jelly just hanging around, and it was so cute. I also found several hermit crabs on shore and saw a baby lemon shark. Tyra, Talia, and I named it Sprite. After diving, we went wakeboarding, waterskiing, and kneeboarding. Personally, I did not have the opportunity to because of time, but I was thoroughly entertained by watching my friends, and am now super excited to when I can try wakeboarding. Following the watersports, we dinghy trained, and I can honestly say it’s not one of my strong suits. However, everyone else was super good at it. At noon we had sandwiches and fruit for lunch. Sandwiches taste 20 million times better when you are super hungry, and honestly, I have a whole new level of respect for them. After lunch, we went back to shore and sailed on Zests. Shortly after that we dinghied back to Saleya, showered, and are now making chili for dinner. Today was a long day, but it felt like ten minutes and was my favorite day here by far.
