Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
We woke up bright and early this morning to sail from Savannah Bay to Mountain Point. The sail was relatively quiet, with a lot of sleepy people and very calming. We ate breakfast on the way and did the dishes as we closed in on the harbor. For some, like myself, today was the second practice dive, and yet again, I was surprised by the challenges of scuba diving and how much there was to it. For others, there was a longer and more extensive dive, and then for the Questers, there was a snorkeling session. I am confident that we all had a great time poking the surface of underwater life, be it a foot from the surface to 30 feet under. As today was another full rotation day, there was also waterskiing, wakeboarding, and a knot-tying session. After lunch, we left Mountain Point for Vixen Point. The sail was much rougher than the one in the morning, with waves crashing into the bow of the boat. Nonetheless, we arrived safe and sound and anchored our boats just off the beach. As I write this, I am waiting to have a scuba chat. Today has been incredibly fun.
