Today was the first rotation day. We got up early at 6:20 and ate at 6:45. The first activities that we did were waterskiing, kneeboarding, and wakeboarding. It was a calm day, which was good for watersports. Most of the boat wakeboarded, and it was fun to watch them get up for the first time. Next, we dove for the first time, where the advanced divers reviewed skills from last year, and the open water divers learned their first skills. We ate lunch afterward, which was a simple yet delicious PB+J meal. Our first-afternoon activity was sailing little sailboats called Picos. Almost all of us capsized at least once, which was still a great time. Our final activity of the day was getting our dinghy driving certification, which was my favorite thing. Some of the skills I learned were how to dock the little dinghies on the main yacht and also how to perform a man overboard drill, where we threw a PFD over the edge and retrieved it. We finished the day with some splendid pasta and garlic bread. Today was a good day, and I’m hoping for more like this one.
