Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
In the morning we woke up at 7 and ate eggs and melon. Then we set sail for a total of six hours. On the sail, Ben taught us how to raise the mainsail, put in reefs, pull out the jib, watch the lazy jacks, how to tack, how to drive, the points of sail, and so much more. We do daily rotations, and today I was the skipper and got to drive. We stopped halfway through the sail for sandwiches. After lunch, we sailed the rest of the way to Savannah Bay, where we dropped anchor for the night. When we arrived, we had swim and shore time followed by our first two scuba gear setups. Then we had delicious Alfredo pasta for dinner with hot dogs, peppers, onions, salad, and garlic bread. After dinner cleanup we had our second dive chat with Jordan. This day was so fun, and I can’t wait for tomorrow.
