Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today was a nice relaxing day. After a breakfast of cereal, we sailed for a few hours to Cooper Island for our first fun dive! I couldn’t have imagined a better first dive. We dove Wreck Alley where we saw a huge stingray! We followed it for a bit to the cleaning station, which is a rock that stingrays can swim through and have all their gills cleaned by small fish. Sadly the stingray just swam over top, but then a smaller stingray emerged from the rock freshly cleaned. Then we swam past a bunch of really cool wrecks and through a tugboat. After we surfaced, we had a lunch of peanut butter jelly and Nutella. Yum. We then set sail for Savannah Bay. During the four hour sail, we worked through some of our rescue diver books. When we got to Savanna Bay, we went straight to the beach for a bit then returned to a dinner of alfredo pasta and hotdogs which was very, very good. I’m so amazed at how close our boat got so quickly it already seems like I have known everyone for ages. I have a feeling that this is going to be an unbelievably amazing three weeks.
