Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Up and early today to eat breakfast and leave for Peter Island. We motor-sailed there which allowed us to make fewer tacks. We ended up arriving first! We attached ourselves to a mooring ball and got ready to dive. For most of us it was a fun dive, but for Sarah it was a HUGE dive – she is now open water certified! After our dive we ate lunch and set sail again. This time we took the long sail to Savanna Bay. Along the way, the Dolphins were given their information packet for the final exam. Many of them have already started reading through it. The Neptunes, on the other hand, were given our first advanced open water assignment . . . underwater navigation. We have to read the chapter and do the review by tomorrow morning. Once anchored in Savanna Bay we all hopped in for showers. We then ate a yummy dinner of cheesy alfredo, hotdogs, and ham, and a salad. Now, as I write this, the crew is cleaning up. We will have a quick squeeze and then were off to our first Lifeworks forum. It has been great getting to meet new friends and, for returning shipmates, reconnect with old ones.
