Location: The Bight, Norman Island

The day started off slow. We got up around 7:30, and the first thing on our schedule was wakeboarding. Not many people went because we were all pretty sleepy, but for those who did go, a gentle breeze across the glassy water provided perfect conditions. Then…we sailed. After motoring further away from land, the winds picked up, and we sailed to Road Town. In Road Town, we all ate at a dockside restaurant and drank banana smoothies! There was also a small grocery store where we topped up on snacks. At 1:45, we were all on the dock, getting dinghied back to our boats to prepare for another sail to the Bight. Although it was a race we ended up dead last because our boat A) has a lot of grime growing on the hull, B) a broken batten in the sail (rib that holds the sail’s shape), and C) a super dinghy long-lined behind us creating a lot of drag. When we finally hooked a mooring ball, we had a quick salt-water shower and rested for the rest of the day.
