Today was an amazing day! It started with an early wake up to cereal. We cleaned up after the cereal and went to the docks for a talk about the hike we were about to walk. Mike gave us a great explanation of what we should look out for. He said we should look out for cars because we go up a steep hill. The hike was 3.5 miles up and 3.5 miles back. Though most of the way was uphill…it was at a moderate difficulty. I, myself, trekking alone and met a lot of new people! For example, I met a shipmate named Morgan, who was a sponsored skateboarder. Once I reached the top, I saw an amazing view! Though the cloud was blocking some of the views, it was still cool. The walk down was a lot better than the walk-up. We went to port a few minutes after the hike. I got a cheeseburger which was delicious! Once I finished the meal, I went to the market and bought Oreo’s. At about 1:00, we went to Sandy Cay for a sandcastle building contest, then on to Sydney’s for a barbecue!
