We started the day with a yummy breakfast of oatmeal and peanut butter. After a quick cleanup, we raised the jib and set sail. I had never steered a boat before, so I was slightly terrified of crashing it. I slowly gained my confidence as we managed to go wing on wing. It was awesome! The sun was shining, and the wind kept whipping my hair back and forth as I steered the cat with Mike’s help. We then had a short dive at Shark point, though sadly no one was able to spot a shark. Dolphins dove their first research dive for their final projects while Neptunes roamed around the vast reef. Our lunch of chicken salad sandwiches was a perfect break to fuel up for our second dive at shark point. My dive buddy Kali and I spotted two huge sea cucumbers! Then we stopped at a port to fuel up on water and had a nice chill afternoon hanging out on the boat. We finished off the day with dinner and a movie night to prepare us for a long day of hiking tomorrow.
