Location: Marina Cay

This morning we had the fortune of waking up at 7:45. We motored over to Spanishtown to fill our water, and I had my first try at docking the boat! When the boat was filled, we began a sailing lesson through the Dog islands. Everyone had a go at tacking and jibing. At one point our starboard side was covered in water, as the wind pushed us on a hard close haul. We ate Ramen noodles, which is always a challenge under the heavy wind, so we hove to so that the chefs could cook. After lunch, we made our way to Trellis Bay, where we called our families and scrambled to find internet. We ended today with a Lifeworks forum and a pasta dinner! I’ve only been here for a couple of days, but I already feel close to my shipmates!
