Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today we awoke joyfully at 8 am to a delicious French toast breakfast made by Jaye and Matt! Afterward, we left Marina Cay and headed to Muskmelon for a morning research dive to record plant life, while I, a Neptune, did a deep dive. Later, after a mac and cheese lunch, we began turtle tagging. Maddy spotted a baby turtle, and John bravely caught it. For the rest of the afternoon, we hung out and enjoyed a chili dinner. Afterward, we headed straight for our navigation night dive. In my group, our little marine biologist Ryan bravely lead our platoon where no diver had been before with his superhuman navigation skills as Madison’s perfectly timed skills helped like no one else could. Kyle kept watch for anything unexpected but sadly did not get the chance to fight off any sharks. Together we formed a power team and did not get lost, but instead were the first team to journey back from the unknown. Every team successfully made their way back to Peeps Larou where we showered and ate brownies under the crescent moon. Another great day in our ActionQuest journey!
