Location: The Bight, Norman Island

This morning we started the day with a delicious cereal breakfast. We went to shore for a little afterword to have our batteries replaced and to get water. After that, we started sailing for The Bight, Norman Island. When we got to the wind, Will and Claire raised the sail, and we started to learn the basics of sailing. At the start of the sail Claire S, Claire T, and Mirah were sitting on the bow when a giant wave splashed over the bow and drenched them all. Evan, Oliver, Sophia, Frances, and Jonah learned knots while we sailed. After sailing for a while, we put the jib up and started to learn how to switch the jib when tacking. Rabih, Shawn, and Evan worked the sheets when we tacked. Once we reached Norman Island, Shawn grabbed the mooring ball. We then took our swim test, where we had to swim six laps around the boat and float for ten minutes. After that, we had sandwiches for lunch. After lunch, we started getting ready for snorkeling. We were picked up in a dingy and taken to the caves we snorkeled through. When we got in the water, we saw tons of fish like parrotfish and jellyfish. After snorkeling, we took our ocean shower. Then we hung out on the boat and ate sloppy joes for dinner that Max helped cook.
