It was a unique day 8 in the BVI. Our third rotation day consisted of waterski/wakeboarding, a marine bio chat, snorkeling, and finally, zest (small boat) sailing. With a day full of clear weather and friends, it could be nothing other than amazing. The marine bio chat, the first of its kind, went over the basics of coral around the world. This led nicely into the snorkeling adventure right after it: exploring mangroves. We got to see tons of coral, adolescent fish, and even a stingray. Perhaps the highlight, however, was the barbecue that ended the day. We got to spend an extended period on land and enjoy salads, burgers, hotdogs, and drinks in a cool beach bar.
