Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola

Today was another day in paradise! We started with an amazing breakfast of scrambled eggs and blueberry muffins before splitting into groups. The Dolphins went to set up for the second research dive, which was about learning how to keep track of the marine life that we saw. The Neptunes had an exciting morning of watersports and a fun dive. After that, we regrouped for lunch. The rest of the day was spent at monkey point for turtle tagging. This was the most exciting part of my day. Unfortunately, we were unable to catch a turtle. However, we got very close to a hawksbill turtle and also saw a couple of stingrays while snorkeling to look for turtles. Next, we headed over to another boat for a lecture on shark anatomy followed by the dissection of a dogfish. Understanding the anatomy of the shark helped familiarize us with these creatures better. This made today educational and exciting! Right now we are headed over to the beach for a barbecue party.
