Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today was a relaxed and yet productive day. After waking up to a scrumptious breakfast of French toast, we commenced with the day’s primary activity: sail training. In our rotations, we practiced tacking and jibing, with each of us taking a turn as helmsman. After that came my favorite part of sail training, man overboard drills. We learned this essential skill by practicing on a fender. Each time we tossed the fender overboard and each time we went through the procedures to recover it. The most fun time! When we all completed our training for the day, it was time to relax. After a quick lunch of chicken salad wraps, we sailed onwards to Sandy Spit, a tranquil beach of fine sand and refreshingly cool water. Then, for dinner: franks and beans! After dinner, we had a Lifeworks Forum during which we were on one of the diving catamarans. Now it is time to sleep… Goodnight all!
