Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today everyone on the boat started off waking up at 6:30, sailing straight off to The Baths at Virgin Gorda. This was a 20-30 minute motor; once we arrived, we picked up a mooring ball and ate breakfast. Our breakfast consisted of yogurt of all varieties, bagels with cream cheese, and good ol’ Gatorade, lemonade, and water. After we finished eating and cleaning, we started getting ready to take a dinghy over to Devil’s Bay, which is a beach at The Baths. Once we had gotten close to the beach, we had to jump out of the dinghy and swim to shore. When we had gotten on shore, we all took pictures and started exploring the pools and rock formations. After taking lots of pictures and jumping off rocks, we had to depart for Spanishtown, which is also located on Virgin Gorda. After another 30 minute motor, we arrived at Spanishtown and docked. At the same time, everyone got off the boat and headed to either get something to eat or go and buy some snacks for the boat for the next few days. After staying there for two hours, we had a two-hour sail to Gorda Sound, where we anchored for the night. For dinner, we had stroganoff and garlic bread. Lastly, we did our nightly squeeze and had our first sailing chat.
