Last Day, Wednesday, Best Day, Blessed Day

Location: West End, Tortola
Author: Mads T.
I cannot believe twenty days have gone by so fast! We have made so many good memories and finally achieved becoming Divemasters!! We awoke this morning and quickly ate some cereal and oatmeal. We then headed out to a dive site none of us have done before called Santa Monica Rock. We had some trouble spotting the lone mooring ball in open ocean, especially due to the large waves. However, we successfully moored and quickly hopped in. Despite the strong surface current, we were promptly greeted with perfect visibility and a beautiful reef filled with sharks, rays and even a lionfish! This was the perfect dive to end our trip. We then started packing up and doing a deep clean of the entire boat inside and out. Although it took a while, it felt super great to see the boat so clean. Soon, well be having the last program BBQ and a final dock chat from Mike. Early tomorrow well all be catching flights home, except for the few interns staying on. It has been an unbelievably fun three weeks; Catalinaville has been an amazing boat. (Hopefully we all return next year as staff!)

Just Keep Sailing

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Author: Max A.
The first race was from Sandy Spit to West End, and we took last place with yours truly at the helm. Our loss was rewarded, however, with a lengthy stay at West End, a second home to ActionQuest veterans. Part two of the race took us to Peter Island. Thankfully, we did not take last place, but that was mostly because another boat was stuck due to engine repairs. Mexican night, DM testing and a possible night dive await us.
