Fun Last Day on the Water

Location: Kayla G.
Author: West End, Tortola
Today started with oatmeal and chatting. After getting the plans for the final race, we got ready to rumble. From Norman Island to Great Harbor where we finished in almost last but Im not completely sure. Then we were told the cleaning plans. The whole boat must be spotless. So on the way back to West End we had a summer cleaning spree. Tired and hot, we got the chance to have yummy PB&Js. Now back at West End we have shore time to shop, eat, and phone home. Then, we will have our last BBQ. Fun!

Our Last Supper

Location: April R.
Author: The Bight, Norman Island
Today we woke up and ate a large breakfast consisting of pancakes (during cleanup Juan had to jump in 3 times to retrieve lost items) and spent some time swimming and doing watersports. Midmorning we pulled up our anchor and motored to Road Town, Tortola. For most students lunch was eaten at the Village Cay Hotel and Marina Restaurant. This afternoon we sailed to the Bight on Norman Island. Our cooks prepared the last dinner we will eat as a crew. Tomorrow is our last race and the entire crew is looking forward to it.

Day 18

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Author: Aiden C.
This morning we woke up and ate a full breakfast of cereal during our motor over to Salt Island, the location of the Rhone memorial and its final resting place. Once we anchored, the advanced sailors from Curls came over and we all took the sailing test. Once that had been completed, we hopped in Bolt for our trip over to the dive boat to start setting up our gear for the long awaited dive of the RMS RHONE!! The Vega students dove off the port side; Carinas off the starboard. The dive was incredible despite certain issues. After the dive, we all surfaced safe and sound, hopped into Bolt and raced back to Erocibar for a lunch of ramen and lemon muffins. After the meal, seeing that none of unflavored noodles had been eaten, Sebastian took it up to himself to down as much as he could stomach, right before our trek across Salt Island. The hike was incredible, great views of the seemingly endless ocean completed by a little bit of beach time. The day ended motoring back to the previous days bay for the night.

Race Day

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Author: Sebastian M.
It was finally race day. We have been preparing for this all camp. The first race was fought long and hard. In the end we lost but we did manage to get 5th Place. Erocibar stopped at West End where we started our trip. My fellow bros and me enjoyed the taste of delicious pizza. It had been so long since we had good food. We left West End to start our second race. We began strong in first place. I screamed so hard my throat got sore in the middle of the second race. We finished the race in 4th place.
