Beach BBQ #2

Location: Sommer’s Beach, Tortola
Author: Justine C.
The day started off with scrambled eggs and motoring to Monkey Point. There, the shipmates of Pure Joy joined navigation dive and us for a fish ID. Some memorable sightings included a stingray and some large tarpon. Afterwards, we motored to Sommer’s Beach where the Neptunes had a relaxing afternoon while the Dolphins dissected a dogfish. Now, we are headed over to the beach again for our second BBQ. We’re all excited to reunite with our friends on sail side.

Fun Dive at Mario’s

Location: Marina Cay
Author: Lilah D.
Today was super fun! We woke up and had some delicious breakfast burritos made by our chefs of the day. The first thing we did was motor over to Marios. We dived for a while and saw some pretty cool fish. Then we had a long sail to Trellis Bay where we ate a yummy lunch on shore. We also got some free time at port. For dinner we had tortellini and garlic bread. Right now, we are cleaning up and starting to get ready for Lifeworks forum with the whole fleet. Today was a day to remember and we can’t wait for tomorrow.

A Day for the Books!

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Author: Madeline E.
Today is definitely one to remember! We started off the day with cereal, yogurt and yummy fruits. As soon as the last dish was up, we set up our gear for our dive. All of the Neptunes met on our boat for the wreck dive. After our brief, we all splashed and dove by far my favorite wreck yet. We saw tons of fish including several lionfish, pretty coral and even a toilet at 85 feet. After the dive, we all surfaced and grilled cheese was waiting for us. They were so good! Then it was time to relax and hangout. Our whole boat played cards, talked and played in the sun. After 3 hours or so, we set up our gear again for a fun dive. This dive was super pretty, it was the Rhone anchor and a great wall. On our descent, Pietra and I saw several Queen Triggerfish, which are my favorite fish. That dive was super pretty and fun. Now, we are all hanging out, having good laughs, and growing closer than we already are. The chefs today are cooking up AQ’s version of a Thanksgiving feast for dinner, and then we are having a movie night. Today (and all other days) has been one for the books. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Day 9

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Author: Evan E.
Today started with a 6:30 wake up and breakfast was oatmeal. After breakfast we began to motor over to Salt Island. Salt Island is where the Rhone sank to have one of our first wreck dives for Neptune and second digital photo dive for the Dolphins. After the dive, we went for a hike on Salt Island. We saw the site where the people who died when the Rhone sank were buried. The salt marshes on the island provide 1 pound of salt for the queen of England every year as a tax for the residents of the island. Then we motored back to GHP for a dive talk and a snorkel. Now we are getting ready for a night dive. We are all having fun!
