Moonwalking with Elle
Location: Ky O.
First thing we did today was wake up and eat cereal underway. We were to sail from Sandy Spit to West End, where we started our trip. One of our shipmates, Ethan, left early today to go home. Everybody still aboard already misses him! After we had breakfast, we traveled to Great Harbor, Peter Island. We then went on a moonwalk dive. This is where we take off our fins and practice buoyancy control and play some games underwater. We saw 2 fish and a stingray and lots and lots of sand. Continuing on with our day, we went water skiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. This was my favorite part of the day. After, we reviewed our diving knowledge reviews for the Neptune Quiz tomorrow. Overall it was a really fun day!

Week 2 Video Update from the BVIs
Location: British Virgin Islands
It’s been another busy week in the BVI. Marine Bio research and Rescue Diver training are in full force, most students are now certified scuba divers and many are working hard towards their IYT sailing certifications! We’re now over half way through the trip and some of our students share their experiences so far. #LifeActivated
Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Day 16 began with a small sleep in for some much needed sleep after the longest day. After a 30-minute motor over to our dive site, we jumped in. The dive was spoken highly of and was beautiful. There were no worries about certifications since we finished those! We then motored over to Sandy Spit where we would spend the rest of the day. Neptunes cleaned the boat and it is now shining. The Dolphins had a work filled day with exams, presentations and a paper. We shared dinner with Mike and did the Cards activity with him. We are ending the night with a lifeworks forum aboard Pure Joy.

Location: Sydney’s, Jost van Dyke
Today was very exhausting. First, we woke up bright and early to eat breakfast and then we moved over to the dock to get ready for the big hike! We set off up the first big hill of the hike. At the very top, I saw my brother who got 4th place! I got 71st place, which is a huge improvement because last year I got 130th. After we walked 8 miles across Tortola, we went to eat cheeseburgers in paradise. Next, we motored over to Sandy Cay and had a sand castle contest. We made a jellyfish. After the contest, we went to Sydney’s Peace and Love for a fleet-wide BBQ!

Double Dive Day
Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
Today was a great day! We woke up around 7 am and the chefs made oatmeal for breakfast. After breakfast, we sailed to Shark Point. When we got to Shark Point we went diving. On the dive, we found a swim through. Then we had lunch and pumped tanks. We had quesadillas for lunch. After lunch, we moved to the Pinnacles and went diving there. We ended in Cane Garden Bay and for dinner, we had chop suey. We are going to watch a movie tonight. I can’t wait for tomorrow because we are going on a hike.
