Day 17 – Staff Update – Final Sail
Posted: Sun, Aug 14, 2016
Location: West End, Tortola
As I look around at this crew as we complete our final sail into West End, I cannot help but be amazed by how gad our team has come, from strangers to a group of incredible sailors, rescue divers, and lifelong friends. Everyone worked hard on their coursework, all earning their rescue diver certification, oxygen provider, search and recovery, and navigational specialties, as well as EFR. Whether it was practicing CPR on a dummy for the first time or performing in water emergency rescue breaths in a scenario, those divers excelled with poise and with smiles on their faces. Even with the rigorous course, we had many opportunities for fun dives on wrecks like the Rhone and the Fearless, and we even spent a day on the beautiful beaches of Anegada. We’ve had a dun and productive 17 days on board Catalinaville, and Davis, Adam, and I hope these young divers continue to progress and excel in their scuba careers.
