Day 10 – Triple Dive Day
Posted: Sun, Aug 7, 2016
Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today started off in Marina Cay, where the chefs prepared pancakes for breakfast. While the staff members attended a meeting, the shipmates ate and then cleaned the boat. After listening to a lot of good music and dancing around Adonis, we set up our gear to prepare for the three dives of the day. We motored over to the “Sand Highway” where dolphins did their last photo dive and Neptunes completed a boat dive. This was followed by a second morning dive, which was a research dive for dolphins and a fun dive for the Neptunes. After a chicken salad lunch, dolphins gathered on Adonis to dissect a shark! We learned about the anatomy of the shark and the Neptunes hung with Oscar in the galley. The late afternoon was filled with knee bearding and water-skiing, then cooking chili for dinner. The director of AQ, Mike, joined us for dinner and then we participated in a discussion while watching the sunset. Now we are getting ready for our third and final night dive and are stoked to surface with the smell of brownies coming from the galley!
