Day 17- Race Day Practice!

Today was a great day to test out our sills at sail racing! We started with the first race from Sandy Spit to home base, the docks in West End, Tortola. Admittedly we didn’t do well the first time! We stopped at the docks for some port time. I personally had some waffles from D Best Cup, which were amazing! After some good food and another skipper’s meeting, we set up for our next, bigger race. This one was upwind and tacking became a factor. Successfully we weren’t last and I’m so proud of my whole crew for being so on top of everything. We can confidently say most of us are soon to be certified crew. We now sit in Great Harbor awaiting our final dive on the Rhone. Our last sail chat review is tonight as we all prepare for the written portion of our certification. I picked up Alexa’s day as skipper and I would like to say the Rossi crew really missed her today. Can’t wait to have another amazing day tomorrow!
