Waking up in the BVI will never grow old. Our fifth rotation day of the session started off with a nice breakfast of bagels, cream cheese and yogurt. Our first rotation was wakeboarding and it seemed to be a particularly successful day. Almost everyone that tried got up, even including me. Once you feel the rush of actually getting up and not falling constantly, you never want to stop. As far as boat firsts, our second rotation was our first open water dive! We were down 30 feet surrounded by beautiful coral and the types of marine life you only ever regularly see at aquariums. My favorite thing my dive group (Ella, Alexa, and Skylar) and I saw was a stingray. The water here looks like glass from the surface and makes diving enjoyable because of the amazing visibility. We had delicious soup for lunch and we were quickly on our way to the next rotation. We learned how to make Turk’s Head anklets and bracelets. Not only do they look amazing, they are relatively easy to make once you get the hang of it. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m going to try my hardest not to take it off, as a memory of my AQ family. Our final rotation was our open water dive final, which I’m sure everyone passed. Not to brag or anything, but we’re a smart group. Finally, we had a stuffing Thanksgiving dinner. We had our nightly showers, one of the things I will miss the most. Tonight we also have our second sail chat. My favorite parts of the day aren’t when we’re busy, but when we get some down time with each other. Although it’s only been ten days, I feel like I’ve known my Rossi family my whole life. I love them dearly, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us tomorrow.
