Day 10- Shark!
Posted: Sat, Aug 9, 2014
Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today was a long day. It was full of amazing activities and experiences. Today will definitely be memorable. It started off slowly, as it took time for everyone to wake up. After we woke up we immediately started with our chores, cleaning the salon, and making breakfast. For breakfast we had pancakes, which were extremely good even without any syrup. After a quick cleanup we were prepared to sail. We sailed to Muskmelon Bay on Guana Island. On the way we practiced sailing drills such as man overboard. When we arrived at Muskmelon Bay we anchored and had lunch. Lunch was mac and cheese. After lunch the people in the Quest program went snorkeling while the Carina’s went diving. The people in the Vega program went waterskiing. On the snorkel they saw a barracuda and a gigantic moon jellyfish. Afterwards it switched – the Vega’s went scuba diving and the Carina’s and Quester’s went waterskiing. On the dive we saw a lot of interesting things. The two most memorable though were the shark and the stingray. The shark was massive, about 7 feet long. For dinner we had beef stroganoff, which was delicious!
