Day 17- Race Day
Posted: Fri, Jul 25, 2014
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
We woke up relatively early to the sun rising over the majestic island that we spent the previous day on. We had a quick breakfast then set out to finish up our sailing practical exams. We docked at West End for lunch, where some of us consumed deep-fried foot-long hot dogs. After a very filling lunch we raced the rest of sail side to get to a nice bay on Peter Island. We set anchor there and proceeded to prepare a messy feast for Mexican food right as the sun set over Tortola. We devoured tortillas stuffed with beans, cheese, ground beef and hot sauce. The numerous lights of Tortola glared at us as we fell asleep to a breezy night.
