Aloha from Second Wind! Today marks our halfway point on our sail around the British Virgin Islands. Our crew of eleven are quickly becoming sailors, learning and mastering the skills required to keep our ship underway.
Morale is high on our ship partly due to the ever energetic Payton. Isabel, Lily and Merry leading the path to the daily and nightly dance party. Astrid, who is studious as she is helpful, is always the first to finish any assignment or help with anything from raising the main to dropping the anchor. Between Cassie and Kevin (aka Bobo) our ship never lacks in groovy tunes, as they have definitely become the resident DJs. Wyatt and Mark keep us all laughing, finding the humor in every situation. Charlie and Brian are often found studying coral reefs, fish and invertebrates until it’s time to put their books away! Reviewing their work they are definitely on their way to becoming excellent research divers.
The last ten days of our trip have been truly amazing thanks to our crew. We are all definitely looking forward to what the next eleven days have to offer! With more sailing, wreck diving, night diving, research diving and wakeboarding on the horizon I am certain our crew will proceed with an excellent sense of adventure. Our sails will stay full here on Second Wind.
