Day 19: Race Day
Posted: Sat, Jul 5, 2014
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today we woke up for an early breakfast of pancakes. While we were eating the Rescue divers had two scenarios. On the second try they were almost perfect. After breakfast we went for a fun dive on the wall in GHP while some people went waterskiing. We found a boat hook underwater. After the dive we motored across the Drake to Road Town where we had some time ashore to call home and eat lunch. After we dinghied back to Mahi we got ready for the dive side sail race. We started off well and were all having fun sailing and sitting on the trampoline, when we sailed into a squall. The wind was up to 35 knots so we had to call the race. It was raining so hard we were able to take fresh water showers off the back of the boat! We made it to Norman Island safely and are now cooking dinner and getting ready for the last night of program. The past 19 days have been amazing and I’m sad to see this trip come to an end.
