Today we woke up really early, ate oatmeal, and Charlie told me to paint my face because we were going to do a race. We went to Changes for a skipper’s meeting about the race. When the meeting ended all the ships in the start line and ready was such a beautiful thing, five ships in a line, ready to sail. The race started, bad luck, we ended last. We went to port in West End where we ate breakfast and got groceries. We were there from 10am to 1pm. At one they called us to another skipper’s meeting for another race. This race was much longer, we thought it would be 1 or 2 hours but it ended up being like three and a half. I drove the whole race, standing up three and a half hours; but when I tell the crew we were going to tack they prepared perfectly and they did the tack perfectly. We never lost speed. I am very proud of them. The night arrived and it’s Mexican night and we ate tacos. It was a pretty fun day, this crew is the best.
