The final day on Bend the Rules. A sad day. Our final dive for the trip was at the Indians, which were massive rock pillars in the water that divers could swim around and view all the life that was on them. It was an exceptional dive, featuring a giant lobster that Savannah, Player, Jacob, and I saw (I found it). Once we surfaced, it was time for boat appreciation, a time where we cleaned every nook and cranny of our home for the past twenty days, Bend the Rules. After a couple of hours of hard work, we were rewarded with shore time, which was sadly not as good as expected due to the untimely closing of the coffee shop. After everyone returned to the boat, the reality of our leaving set in. Everyone was checking their flights and making sure everyone was packed. A fun addition to our packing lists was a bundle of letters that everyone received from each member of the boat that was written the night before. Although we all agreed not to read our letters until we were on the plane, I know each one will make the recipient happy in one way or another. For dinner, we are having our Fourth of July bbq, which is onshore as a celebration of everyone’s time together. Though it is our dinner together as an AQ family, I know for sure that everyone will have a blast. Thank you, Mike, for organizing this. It means a lot for everyone, really.
