Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today we woke up at 6:20 to head to The Baths – early!
The Baths are really cool rock formations that have historical significance in regard to the slave trade.
On the way there, we ate our breakfast which was cereal. Everybody slept in their PFDs, so they didn’t have to wake up early and put them on.
When we got there, everyone was so excited, so we all ran to get to the rock where we could jump into the ocean from.
The current was very strong when we were trying to get out, so there were lots of staff helping us out.
After we were finished at The Baths, we came back to the boat for a quick sail over to Spanish town. Prior to getting off the boat, we all had some phone time before we went on land.
Once we got to Spanish Town, everyone went their separate ways to either go to the grocery store or get some lunch. After we were done at Spanish town, we came back to the boat and made our way to mountain point to snorkel our night dive sight.
We try to snorkel all the night dive sites before we dive them so that we can have a better understanding of the area for navigation. Then we got out and had dinner, which was beef stroganoff.
We started the night dive of Mountain Point at 19:00, and we saw lots of colorful coral and fish while we were using our flashlights.
After we did our night dive, we came out and took our showers, which ended a very eventful day!
