Today we left the dock! Yeah! It was so much fun to be out on the ocean. Learning to sail was great. It took about 3 hours to get to White Bay. Here, we took our first dive, which was just so that we could remember all of the diving and safety techniques. I was glad to have the refresher. Dinner was yummy. Afterwards, we went to another cat to meet everyone on the dive side. Today was fun and we are all excited to do more diving tomorrow.

Although the weather was a bit overcast today (no sunbathing), the dive was great and we got to go wakeboarding / skiing afterwards. The visibility on our dive was crystal clear and Jason pointed out all of the really awesome little fish. The funniest part of the day was when poor little Alex's water bottle fell overboard. The crew was all extremely tired today because we were all staying up bonding last night. Luckily, Jason let all of his little chickadees sleep. Everyone is excited for Lifeworks tonight.

No sailing today. We spent the day in Savannah Bay learning and relaxing. We had a short dive today, learning how to navigate underwater. We also had the chance to get our dinghy driving certification and everyone passed with flying colors. After doing work to further our certifications, we went wakeboarding and skiing. All in all, the day went very well and everyone worked hard to accomplish the tasks at hand.

Today could have been the best day so far. It was exciting, adventurous, outrageous, mesmerizing, exceptionally fun, and overall excellent. We started off our trip to the Baths. The Baths is a magical place where beauty has no boundaries. It's many boulders stacked on top of each other with waterfalls running and water in between. We spent 2 hours there. Then we motored to Spanish Town; a fun port. We had lunch there and got to go food shopping. When we left, I got to do something I have been dying to do all trip; take the helm under sail... It was incredible. When we reached our destination, Mt. Point, we took a snorkel where we would be doing our first night dive tonight. The night dive was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Today was really sunny and awesome. The advanced group dived twice and they were the best yet! We saw squid, an airplane wreck and awesome cow fish! After diving, we had a lecture on underwater naturalist. We sat in with the Marine biology group which was really cool. We're all excited for Lifeworks tonight and the dance tomorrow.

July 13 - Day 7

We had a morning dive at Mountain Point. It was, for the advanced, our first underwater naturalist dive. We saw some cool things and it was fun to have to search for different kinds of fish. Then we motored to Leverick bay. On the way we pumped up our tanks. Following port was a quick boat diving lecture or snorkel. Then we went to the beach to play and then back to the boat to shower up for the dance. The dance was really fun but we were all happy to come back to the boat by the end of the night.

Mike Meighan calls in the update from Gorda Sound bring us up to speed on all the ActionQuest and Lifeworks happenings. All the vessels will be together tonight at The Sandbox for a beach BBQ before the DJ arrives to start up the dancing!
