Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Skipper
Jonathan
Activities
Let's see, ok we did a lot of stuff today, especially because this was our first day on the water. We left the dock at around 11:30 and we went out and then we went sailing. It was an interesting experience as it was the first time sailing for about half of us. Around midday, after sailing for a while, we ate lunch which was very interesting because it was quite choppy on the ocean. We then stopped at White Bay where we did a refresher scuba dive. This was great because it was nice to be back in the water again even though there was nothing to see.

July 9 - Day 3
Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
Skipper

Activities
Entry:Today the weather was great. Today we sailed all day. I enjoyed it a lot. We motored out from Frenchman's Cay to Dead Chest. Then, from there we sailed to Virgin Gorda. I had such an amazing time. We sailed through a storm. It was pretty cool because we could see the storm ahead, then we were in it, and then we went back out in the blue skies. There were also jellyfish, and nobody likes jellyfish. It was wild.

July 10 - Day 4

Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
Skipper
Alexandra
Activities
Today we stayed at Savannah Bay and had our first rotation day. First, some of us water-skied and others rested on the boat. Next, we went to shore where everyone had their chance at windsurfing. I had never done it before, so this was exciting. Then we had lunch, PB + J and tuna salad and Pringles. Then we had our first confined water dive which was exciting. We've finally mastered putting together our SCUBA gear, practiced a few skills and got better acquainted with some of the basics of SCUBA. After that, we took showers and had dinner; veggie burgers, potatoes and beans, yum! The seagulls loved the leftovers.

July 11 - Day 5
Location: Vixen Point, Virgin Gorda
Skipper
Ivy
Activities
Today we motored in the morning to the Baths. There, all the shipmates enjoyed being on land for the first time since we left. The jumping rock was fun in addition to the natural caves most people navigated through. The weather was perfect - if you had enough sunscreen on! We had lunch at Spanish Town. People stocked up on diet Coke and Fruit by the Foot. The rest of the afternoon was spent learning to sail and about wind relationships. Our boat was split into two groups and we completed a figure 8 maneuver. The night dive was probably the most fun as we enjoyed a humorous dinner with our guest, Greg.

July 12 - Day 6
Location: Vixen Point, Virgin Gorda
Skipper
Greg
Activities
Today was a rotation day, and we all enjoyed the skiing, confined water dive #2, and Pico sailing. Our time here is flying by because we are all having such a great experience.

July 13 - Day 7

Location: Vixen Point, Virgin Gorda
Skipper
Carly
Activities
Today we woke up and were ready for a new rotation day! Our morning started off with confined water dive #3. We learned a lot of new skills and today was the 1st day we jumped into the water with our weights on. After, we windsurfed, water skied, and wake boarded. Later on that day, we all got into the dinghy and headed over to the beach. There we had a BBQ and danced until about 12. We all had a lot of fun since tonight was the first night all the boats got to hang out together.
