Marine Biology Programs
ActionQuest's Tropical Marine Biology camps and marine science programs offer a fascinating opportunity to affirm or further define your interest in marine science while learning to sail and scuba dive in the British Virgin Islands.
Which voyage is right for me?
The Vega voyage is for those just getting started with marine biology and scuba diving. Under the guidance of marine scientists, scuba diving instructors, and licensed sailing experts, you will get a hands on introduction to marine biology while also learning to sail and scuba dive during your 21 day adventure. Additionally you'll also find time for wake boarding, water skiing, windsurfing, and exploring everything the BVI has to offer.
The Barracuda voyage is perfect for certified divers under the age of 15 looking to expand their diving skills and get an introduction into the world of marine science. Our scuba instructors will take you through your junior advanced open water course, and 3 additional PADI specialty courses, including Fish Identification, making you more comfortable and more familiar with the underwater world around you. In addition to the diving, there will be lots of sailing, wake boarding, and exploration around the BVI.
The Dolphin voyage is a more comprehensive marine science program for those already certified in scuba diving. You will sail the BVI in a 46 ft. catamaran while learning marine science, designing and conducting your own underwater research project, and taking part in shark dissections and reef surveys. You will also earn four different diving certifications to build on you scuba diving experience and learn to sail as you move from island to island.
