Day 8- Rotation Day #3

Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Author: Tristan T.
This morning we woke up, had breakfast and then got ready to go sail on the Rhodes. When we were sailing on the Rhodes we had a lot of fun, but we went fast! After that we talked about coral conservation, it taught us a lot about how the coral reefs get knocked down! Then we had lunch, it was really fun! Finally, we went to Leverick Bay and got fresh water. When we started heading to Mountain Point, we approached two boats one was called Sambamba and the other was Midnatt Solen, and we all had a wicked dance off, it was pretty intense! At the end of the day we all showered and had dinner. I got to say it was a pretty rad trip, its fun out here!

Once upon a time on June 21, 2016, a rotation day, shipmates woke up on a beautiful day. We ate cereal for breakfast. After breakfast shipmates went to the beach to try out for the second time, windsurfing. Then we went snorkeling and saw brain coral and barracuda. After snorkeling we went back to the vessel to have lunch. We had mac and cheese, which was very good. After lunch crewmembers went waterskiing, knee boarding, and wake boarding. Then, we had a knot tying session. After the knot tying session shipmates got prepared for the dance. Now we are headed to the dance where there will be cheeseburgers and a DJ named DJ Heavy Beats.

Day 4- Sailing And Spanish Town

Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Author: Max D.
Today was a great day for everyone. We started the by waking up in Savanna Bay then a quick motor to the Baths. The Baths are formation of rocks all on the shore. They got their name when slave traders used the caves and shallow water to wash off their slaves in route to the world. We spent a good amount of time there climbing and exploring the rocks. After the baths we motored to Spanish town. At this time we need lunch. Our whole boat when to the Bath and Turtle. Most of us got burgers, they were delicious. After this we had time to explore the town. Some of us go ice cream, or candy. Then we sailed a bit to learn tacks and jibes. We ended out day by anchoring back at Savanna Bay. Tonight we have our first sail chat along with a briefing of the skills we need for our first scuba dive tomorrow.
