Final Video for ActionQuest Session 1 in the BVIs
Location: British Virgin Islands
We wrap up our final week with our students putting their newly earned sailing certifications to the test in 3 races while still making time for some amazing diving on the famous wreck of the RMS Rhone and a trek to the top of Mt. Sage, the highest point in the BVI. Our students reflect on their experience and the amazing relationships they developed over the past 3 weeks. #LifeActivated

Bella Vita Staff Update Day 21
As we came to the end of our expedition through the British Virgin Islands, it is with both joy and sadness as we reflect on all that we have accomplished. We have really enjoyed watching all of our shipmates grow and develop. We have had so much fun and learned so much, it is hard to believe that it is coming to a close. From watching Dan, Ian and JRs wild moves on the kneeboard, to seeing our advanced sailors Max, Rachel, Madison and Clayton complete their certifications, it has been an action packed 20 days to say the least. Along with the sailing, all our shipmates excelled in scuba diving to get their advanced certifications and it was so great to see the enthusiasm Maddi and Quinn had for diving. Caroline and Helens big hearts and hilarious sense of humor will be missed dearly. Overall this trip has been an amazing experience and it will be sad to see all of our new friends go.

Final Day of ActionQuest
Location: West End, Tortola
La Bella Vita awoke to a mix of emotions: excited for the big race yet devastated to be leaving this beautiful place. As we ate breakfast and prepared for the day there was only one thing on everyones mind: the race. Raising the mainsail and getting into our starting position we all screamed and cheered in hope for a win. 321 and were off and the race has begun, the jib is out, and La Bella Vita is fighting for the top spot. As the race came to a close Bella Vita was trailing Wind Shadow who was behind Aeolus. With much enthusiasm, Bella soared past Wind Shadow, coming in second, less than a boat length away from Aeolus. We all gathered in the cockpit very happy with the outcome. Soon after, the cleaning began. Jamming to music and scrubbing away, Bella was looking spotless. After cleaning, came shore time. The thought of it being the last day finally started to sink in as we had our final squeeze. The night ended with a barbecue and one last night of sleep before departing in the morning. Thank you ActionQuest for an experience of a lifetime as well as friends and memories that will last forever. Safe to say, best summer ever!

Last Day on The Water
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
This morning most of the crew woke up from a rainstorm that hit Great Harbor. After everyone woke up, we raised anchor and motored over to Salt Island. While we were going to Salt Island, we ate breakfast, which was cereal. When we got to Salt Island, we dropped anchor. Next, we got into our dinghy and motored to the Divemaster boat, Catalinaville, where we would dive the Rhone. After our gear was ready, we jumped into the water and dove the bow of the Rhone, which is 70-80ft deep. Once we got out of the water, we went back to our boat and ate ramen noodles for lunch. Then we went on a hike to the cliffs on Salt Island that looked over the Rhone’s wreck. After the hike, the crew had their last swim in the water before motoring over to Norman Island where the staff went to a meeting and the crew had to cook and watch over everything. Finally, we cleaned up and got ready for bed. Today was one of the best days of the program.

An All Around Awesome Day
Well today was an interesting day, this morning we went knee boarding in Great Harbor and some of my friends did some amazing tricks and then it was my turn. While going pretty fast, I hit another boats wake and got some amazing air!! After that, we swam, ate breakfast and sailed. When we were sailing we tried something new, we only sailed with our headsail and motor in preparation for tomorrows huge race! After the sail, we went and stopped in Road Town the capital of Tortola! On land, we ate lunch, shopped and had some good fun in the sun! Just when the day wound down, we got the boom swing set up and played with other boats in the water. Finally, now we are settling down to study for our sailing test here in the lovely BVI.
