Staff Update Day 20
Location: West End, Tortola
Wow, the staff of Tiger Pause can’t believe that session two has come to a close. We had an absolutely incredible session, with well over twenty new certifications earned between the members of the crew. There was never a dull moment onboard TP, with the students’ high-octane energy, impressive conversations and laughter than often resulted in tears of joy. I absolutely loved getting to know each and every student, each of them were so unique and brought a variety of skills to the table. They have all learned so much, not only about sailing and diving but teamwork, compassion, friendship and diversity. If I could keep the same crew for an additional 3 weeks, I would do so without hesitation.Parents, thank you for sharing your wonderful kids with us, I am quite jealous you get to spend the whole rest of the year with them.

Location: The Bight, Norman Island
This morning we woke up at Great Harbor, Peter Island.I slept on deck and luckily it did not rain. Once everyone was up we ate cereal. After clean up, Vi, Lizzie and I relaxed on the bow. Around 10 this morning we started to get ready to weigh anchor and head to Road Town. Since I was the skipper today I got to run the boat. It was very enjoyable to get behind the helm. At Road Town we were able to get lunch, walk around town and get ice cream. From town we had a race back to the Bight where we first started. Of course we won the race. During the race we saw a turtle swimming next to us. When Andy, Aiar and Rachael went to a meeting all of us sat at the bow and talked about our day. I then decided to help Victor with making dinner, which was very good. We only have one full day left, it has gone by too fast and I will miss everyone so much.

Day 18- Peter Island to Salt and Back
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Wow! Day 18 has already come and gone! It seems the closer we come to day 21, the quicker time seems to fly by. This morning we lifted our anchors and left Peter Island. We were then headed towards Salt Island. Once we dropped anchor, we began our sailing exams. I was so nervous!

Day 17- The Race
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
The day started really slow but as always it was like every morning, but everybody was actually doing their job quick so we got breakfast fast. Then we got sailing to West End, and from there the race started. I was skipper so me and Miguel with all the crew and staff got Tiger Pause to win. I got seasick so I got to rest for the rest of the race this is where I told Miguel to switch with me. The day was really good and fun too.

Day 16- Sail Sail Sail!
Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today we woke up at Sydney’s Peace and Love to some fabulous pancakes with some peanut butter and maple syrup. Then we prepared to go underway to sail! Since sailing is one of my favorite activities to do, I was super excited. I motored out of the dock with the help of Andy and my crew and prepared to raise the mainsail in the small bay because the wind was less strong. We swiftly raised the sail and exited the bay. I then sailed a bit more in the high intensity winds, made a few more tacks, then gave the helm to my crew members who were trying to pass their basic sailing practical test. After an hour or so we anchored at Sandy Spit and had a wonderful chicken salad sandwich lunch prepared by our chefs. After lunch we headed to the beach to play in the crystal blue ocean and explore the minuscule island. Lastly we ended the day with some truly beloved ocean showers and some delicious franks and beans combination for dinner!
