Can I Drive the Dinghy?!
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today we woke up a little bit later than usual because everyone was tired from the party last night. We had our breakfast and motored out of Vixen Point. We then set sail for Great Harbor, Peter Island (GHP) and had lunch underway. When we reached our destination, the Neptunes had a deep diving lecture followed by a practice dive where we reached a depth of almost 100 feet. We dove the wreck of a barge using a massive mooring ball as our reference. The Dolphins practiced taking pictures underwater. After that, some shipmates went water skiing while everyone else relaxed.
Would You Want to be a Turtle?!
Location: Vixen Point, Prickly Pear
The day started with a delicious french toast breakfast at 7:30 am, one of the best breakfasts so far if not the best! Then we all got our dive gear and got in the water for our first naturalist dive. We came up and ran to our Hibiclens showers. Then, all fresh and clean, we came on shore on Leverick Bay. The first thing we all did was look for a place to eat. Unfortunately the food took about an hour and a half to come and we only had 15 minutes to eat and walk back to our beloved boat Odyssea. Finally we sailed to Vixen where the staff had a surprise prepared to show us how baby turtles struggle to survive. And believe me we learned, after being tackled by staff pretending to be crabs and preventing us from going in the water. The Dolphins went for a snorkel while the Neptunes had a lecture. Then we had some beach time where we played volleyball or just relaxed. Now we’re all getting ready for the beach party and we’ll all have an awesome time!

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? Yes!
Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today was our first deep-double-dive-day! We woke up and immediately after breakfast put our gear together as we sailed to our first location-the Chimney’s. While diving through crevasses and under archways we identified a queen triggerfish (so pretty!), a porcupine fish, and a spotted lobster among the usual parrot fish and trumpet fish. After surfacing we were soon on our way again to Coral Gardens, the site of what used to be a beautiful coral reef but was subject of a huge coral bleaching and was since destroyed. However we still visit the site because an airplane was sunk there for a movie filming in the 70’s. We were able to dive through the plane and see the overhead compartments and take each others picture “flying” the plane from the cockpit. This was our deepest dive yet at 49 feet. We were welcomed to the surface by the best meal yet (voted unanimously by the whole boat) of mac and cheese. A delicious brownie cooked by our captain Kris followed. Taking our showers was quite an adventure this afternoon as a pot of jellyfish swarmed our boat we were all on “jelly watch.” After our dinner of tomato stroganoff we all had to bail as another surprise 5 minute rainstorm hit us. The deckies will have an easy job tonight thanks to mother nature. After dinner Odyssea discovered a new Olympic sport- lifevest sumo wrestling. We witnessed Marina and Kris attacking each other on the trampoline while wearing 5 PFD’s each. It was pretty impressive and after a long battle, Kris was crowned the winner. The rematch will be in a weak or so-stay tuned. Can’t wait for another fantastic day tomorrow down here in paradise.

Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
This morning I woke everyone up at 6:30 to ensure that we were the first boat moored at the Baths to get the best spot. Indeed we were the very first boat there. Kris told us the story of the Baths and then we headed in on our dinghy Buzz. While we were there we climbed rocks, jumped off of them, swam into underwater caves, swam and explored the island caves. After a few hours we ventured to the boat and headed to Spanish Town. Before we went into town we all Hibiclens showered. In town we got amazing bacon cheese burgers and smoothies. We all came back to the boat stuffed and headed out to Mountain Point. Once we arrived at Mountain Point we snorkeled the area in preparation for our night dive. We then at our burgers for dinner and now we are waiting for our night dive. Marina swam, Meghann went up the mast, and Kris always amazes me so today was a great day.
