BVI: Session 2 - Magpie Bridge
Posted: Sun, Jul 10, 2011
Today started with pouring rain in the middle of the night, so we had to take the hammocks down. Nina, Oscar, and Rachel woke everybody up at 5:30 when they finally theirs down. Luckily we were able to sleep for two more hours! We grabbed our PFDs and had oatmeal on the way to the Baths. It’s basically a playground of rocks. The Maggie B. crew went and jumped off the rocks, then we walked to Devil’s Bay trying to find the rock with the air pocket. Unfortunately we didn’t. We then went back and rode Phantom, our dinghy, back to Maggie B. where we took showers while motoring to Spanishtown. We had time to have lunch ashore and stock up on snacks and explore. Afterwards we took an hour sail around the Dogs, a group of islands. Then we motored back to Savanna Bay to anchor for the night, anticipating the dive tomorrow! It’s been an amazing four days!

Today we went sailing to go to Virgin Gorda, there was a lot of wind, we did more than two hours of sailing, it was great. In the morning we ate muffins and had scrambled eggs, for lunch we had bread with peanut butter and nutella. We have a good atmosphere and I’m happy to be here.

Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today was our first full day, which started with rain at 1am. The rain lasted until about 10:00. When the rain stopped we went to the shops. We then had deli sandwiches and Pringles. After that we headed out to Norman Island. The sun came out but the water was choppy. It was a fun day and we are all excited for tomorrow.
