The Baths and Spanishtown
We were on the way to the Baths by 6:45. The Baths are this huge formation of rocks. It’s a giant labyrinth of passageways to underwater pools and caves. You have to climb and squeeze through giant rocks covered in algae, so they were super slippery. Tor made a deal with us that if we came back unscathed she would make us brownies. As soon as we were climbing through the first rocks somebody scraped their ankle. Tor doesn’t have to know that, so we get brownies anyway. On the outside of the Baths is a tall rock with a 20 foot drop that everyone jumps off of. I’ve never been a fan of heights, but it was amazing. I think everyone went twice. After that we cleaned up and headed to Spanishtown. In Spanishtown we could roam around. Our boat has a horrible habit of all of us snacking at like 1am. So we had to go to the market to restock. At about 1:30 we were back on the boat with our cake batter, Dora bandaids, and Pringles. Next we set sail for Vixen Point with me at the helm. I sail 420s so I thought it would be easy. I’m used to very minimal movements to move, but with these boats you need to turn sharp. At one point I messed up and accidentally jibed. The next hour and a half at the helm was not very easy. With a few reassuring words from Tor, we made it in one piece.

Scuba and I Are Awesome
After waking up on the blue lagoon, we ate breakfast. It was cereal and it got everywhere so Lulu and Chloe had a lot of work to do. After breakfast Nick, Matt, and I were jumping off the boat whilst everyone else either relaxed or was waterskiing. We took many photos. After this a dinghy came and got us and we went windsurfing. It was ok and we ended up mucking around in the water with our instructor Nick. We had an ordinary lunch, after which we went to drive dinghies. We also learnt how to tie a clove hitch. At about 3 we went scuba diving. In my group was Reyes, Fede, Pietro, and Matt. This was my first day of scuba diving. Tor (my other instructor) waited on the beach for us. Our chefs Blake and Allan cooked rice and chilli for dinner. There was a little bit of singing. We went to bed on the blue lagoon.

Setting Sail for Awesomeness
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
This morning we woke up to the sound of rain on our boat. We were supposed to do our swim test, but all of the runoff from the island made the water in our area too murky. It had started the night before and unfortunately a few of us were sleeping in hammocks outside, so we were drenched at one in the morning. It was crazy! After a morning of relaxing in our cabin we set sail for Norman Island. It was a two and a half hour sail and the waves were huge! It was so much fun! Overall, it was an eventful day.

The First Day
Today was the first day, we arrived not knowing what to expect. I arrived three hours earlier than my shipmates so I was anxious to meet them. After a while they all got along a lot faster than I expected. Also the staff members that will be living with us showed everyone how to tie our hammocks we were all so excited to be here that none of us went to sleep until about 12. When we finally went to sleep we were awoken by a very windy thunderstorm. It was a very fun day and I can’t wait to see what we will be doing next!
