Amazing Wreck Diving, Sailing, Cake Eating, Birthday Having Day!
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
To the Dogs: 306 degrees for 2.4 nm. To GHP (Great Harbor, Peter Island): 225 degrees for 10.6 nm. Today we woke up to a great breakfast made by Michael and Zach. After breakfast we went straight to our first underwater naturalist dive. This dive was great because we got to identify 10 types of fish. When we got back on the boat we took apart our gear and then we basically chilled until our second dive. On our second dive we got to see a wreck! It was a sunken airplane, it was very cool. After our wreck dive we started sailing. Over all it was an amazing day!

Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
Destination: Savanna Bay: 270 degrees for 2.4 nm, tack 40 degreess for 7 nm, tack 177 degrees for 4 nm, tack 26 degrees for 8.4 nm, tack 121 degrees for 3 nm. Today definitely was a good start for the next 3 weeks. Waking up early to a beautiful island and getting to go scuba diving bright and early at White Bay, Peter Island. There weren’t too many animals there but we did see a sea turtle! After that we got straight to sailing to Blonde Rock and I got to skipper. We got to talk about my “natural sailing skills” even though I’d been sailing for 9 years (Matty was kinda peeved I didn’t tell him earlier!). Blonde Rock was awesome and super clear waters made it a great dive! Finally sailing all the way to Virgin Gorda while all of us talk. Overall today was a great day.

After a night with plenty of rainfall we still managed to wake up fairly early. Wes started the morning with a breakfast and introduction to the late comers from last night. After a speech on the dock we managed to set sail. We each were assigned our own duties on the ship. Our second day onboard included our first dive here in the BVI and everything went smoothly. Today we discovered how loud you can actually scream underwater after Bengy’s experience with a large fish (turns out it’s pretty loud!). The rest of the day consisted of us taking multiple jumps and free swims around the boat before we came back onboard for dinner.

Location: West End, Tortola
We arrived at Tortola and after a quick debriefing we signed in and were assigned to our respected boats. We made introductions and met our crew mates. A short swim test was required from each of us. After eating tortellini on our ship, we were given some free time to have fun before we came back to the ship.
