Location: Vixen Point, Prickly Pear
Today we woke up somewhat early. We all got ready and had breakfast, since I was the skipper, I got to tell everyone what to do hehehe. We had oatmeal for breakfast and of course blue gatorade. Earlier that morning we had a fun dive, no specific type of dive, and it was so gorgeous it looked like a little town just for fish. We then sailed to a beach and played an interesting game in which you crawl through many people’s legs run up and spin around a fender seven times then dizzily try to run back while getting tackled by staff. Fun! We then went back to the boat and had a lecture on boat diving in which I laid in the sun and listened while I tanned. Later that night we went to a dance party on the beach. So much fun! Everyone was super tired when we got back but the party was raw, I liked it.

Becoming a Team
Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today we ventured a great journey from GHP (Great Harbor, Peter Island) with a quick stop at Ginger Island to end at Mountain Point. The weather was quite interesting towards the beginning of the day with waves crashing onto the boat and was so calm when we finally stopped. At Ginger Island we have an amazing dive looking at very interesting coral. At Mountain Point we managed to clean our entire boat in no less than 45 minutes! Everyone was happy with the end result, even Ben, Nick, and Becca! After we “scouted” for half an hour by snorkeling around Mountain Point to become more familiar with what the layout of the sea floor looked like for the night dive we’re about to do. Everyone is super excited. For dinner we had an outstanding meal cooked by our amazing staff! We were later entertained when Ben took Boyd over to Odyssea to say hi to some friends. I can also honestly say that we all feel much stronger as a team.

Another Memorable Day
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
So, as the gleaming, golden sun rose above the glistening, blue sea, we began another day. For breakfast Boyd managed to scramble 48 eggs in our soup pot, impressively delectable. Though the blueberry muffins started out looking hardly edible Lauren and Cara remembered the eggs and successfully added them to the globular purple mass. As soon as we were done cleaning up breakfast, we embarked on our “deep dive.” On our dive Ben brought an egg, showing us a pretty cool trick. It was a great relaxing dive, and thankfully no one tried to eat the egg. Then after our 5 days on Aftica, we set foot (somewhat wobbly) on the lively streets of Road Town. After dining and shopping we all reunited for a super speedy return to Great Harbor. Our rest of the afternoon was quite relaxed; filled with everything from pterodactyl games to Barbara Streisand. Boyd, Ben, and Aaron mustered their final burst of cooking genius to concoct an absolutely mouthwatering vegetarian chili with rice. Content from a full day of adventures and laughter, we all splashed and sudsed, taking a salt-water shower along with our new friend Barry the Barracuda. At the moment we are in the midst of a crazy windy and rainy storm, and are looking forward to an enlightening lecture about wreck diving. With Guns n’ Roses playing in the blue lagoon, the salty cool breeze blowing through the boat, and adventures in sight, there’s really no place we’d rather be.

Underwater Naturalist Day
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today was a great day! We started the day off with oatmeal and cereal. Yum! Then off for a dive to start learning how to be an underwater naturalist. Next we ate some lunch (mac and cheese) then off for a second underwater naturalist dive. Once everyone was back on the boat and gear was put up we set out to sail to Great Harbor, Peter Island, the trip took 2 hours. With everybody listening to music and learning two chapters in our Adventures in Diving manual time just flew. Everyone had cheddar broccoli for dinner (thank you Becca!). Well that has been our day. Oh yeah, we saw a turtle it was so cute living in its own habitat. Later on tonight all dive side people are coming to our “house.” Fun fun! We all like to look at the stars and everyone bonds at night. This is the best boat, the people, staff, and the boat itself. I love you all.

Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today we started at Peter Island and practiced navigation on a short dive to 35 feet or so. We then went to Salt Island to the wreck of the HMS Rhone. We dove to 60 feet and explored the stern of the ship. It was extremely corroded and colonized by countless plants and coral. Once again the weather was gorgeous. Windy but gorgeous. After visiting the wreck we embarked on a three hour journey to Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda. The best part of the day was definitely the wreck.
