A Day of Sailing

Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
My first day as a skipper was definitely a memorable one! I woke up around 6 am and got the cooks up. Trip and Kristen made a fantastic breakfast of muffins and eggs. Then we prepared to set sail and left at 9 am. We began what was to be our five-hour sail to Virgin Gorda. During the sailing, we learned all about points of sail and parts of the sailboat. We had PB&Js for lunch and continued our sail to Virgin Gorda. Finally, at 2 pm I turned us into the cove of Virgin Gorda and we anchored down. We immediately jumped in the water and set up our hammocks. For dinner, we are going to have cheesy Alfredo pasta with ActionQuest director Mike. Today we learned so much about sailing and teamwork. I can’t wait for tomorrow!
