Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today definitely makes the list for one of the best days so far. We had a sweet start with a batch of Nutella French toast and the famous lemonade mix. Once we finished cleaning up and departed the dock of Sidney’s, we set sail for a long-awaited day of sailing practicals. Round after round we performed man overboard scenarios until we picked up our beloved fender. Lunch couldn’t come soon enough, when we finally anchored on the gorgeous Sandy Spit island we devoured chicken salad sandwiches and got ready for our next adventure of the day. After yet another layer of sunscreen, we got to go and explore the island. We spent the rest of the day on the mesmerizing beach and played in the waves. Our staff basically had to rip us off of the island to get us to come back to our boat. We were excited for dinner after such an exciting and eventful day. Shower time and clean up were spent singing and dancing. After our delicious dinner of rice and hot dogs we headed over to an inspiring Lifeworks talk led by Mike. Now we are laughing about our favorite parts of the day and hoping that tomorrow’s adventures will bring as much fun and laughter as today’s adventures have.
