Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola
We had a bit of a late start this morning as we cleaned the boat and prepped to sail for the day. As we raised anchor we motored out of the bay and began to sail. Not too long after we put the jib up, we noticed a huge storm right ahead of us. We put on our rain jackets and prepared to sail through the storm. Bella took the helm and steered us safely through it, while the rest of us attempted to keep our balance on deck and stay dry. After a lunch, we got more water for the boat and took fresh water showers. Then we anchored at the place we would be staying that night. While we were getting dinner ready, we saw some dolphins swimming right next to the boat! We all scrambled up on deck and watched in wonder as they swam by. Following a delicious dinner of Thai peanut chicken, we saw even more dolphins at the bow of another boat. Accompanying the sight of the majestic dolphins was the most beautiful sunset we have seen all trip. We are all looking forward to the “longest day ever tomorrow!
