Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
After a quick breakfast of eggs and muffins, we started heading out to Savannah Bay. Since it was our longest day of sailing yet, we had time to learn many new skills. First, we learned the wind directions. Next, we unfurled the jib for the first time the jib made the boat heel more than ever before. Everyone decided to sit on the high side with our feet dangling down. Today we also learned what tacking meant, and how to tack. Our whole boat worked together to have the sails the way they were supposed to be. Once we got to Savannah Bay, we all jumped in the bright blue water. We finished off today with pasta and salad for dinner. Today was a great forward moving day.
