Day 13- Racing The Day Away (& winning)
Posted: Wed, Aug 10, 2016
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today was a great day! We woke up this morning and sailed to West End. We then went ashore and bought souvenirs and snacks. Then it was race time. We were all really nervous and practiced fast tacking and got really good at it. Then we all fired up and got off to a great start. We easily passed the boats on all sides, creating a pretty large lead that lasted the whole race. We passed the finish line first! Annalee and Harriet helped us do really fast and efficient tacks and were pretty much the reason we won! After hours at the helm, Antoine and Adam catered to my need for Oreos and water and that is what kept the boat alive. The race ended at Peter Island and we are staying the night here. Today was a super fun day of sailing!
