Day 12 – More BBQ Fun
Posted: Tue, Aug 9, 2016
Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Our wakeup playlist was dramatically different this morning, this left a few of us disoriented as the instrumental version of One Direction’s “Story of My Life” was no longer the first thing we heard. We then continued to put away our pillows and bedding while the chefs made breakfast. Everyone enjoyed the cinnamon toast and fresh fruit Jay and Maddie prepared. Once our morning meal was put away, we sailed to a beautiful dive site called “the playgrounds” where there are often large, unique creatures. A few students found a spotted eagle ray, barracuda and octopi. The dolphin students collected research on the dive, while the Neptunes participated in another fun dive. After everyone surfaces, we pumped tanks and happily ate ramen noodles. Dolphins continued their research on another dive, then worked on their essays and fish identification booklets. Neptunes went another fun dive and spent time at the beach. At this point in time, the girls are doing each other’s hair and makeup while getting ready for tonight’s BBQ. We still have a lot of fun ahead of us today, but sadly, the trip is coming towards an end. We all love and miss you all at home, but don’t worry, we are having a blast!
